iOS 17.0.3 unleashed the 15 Pro Max we deserved. Mannnnn iOS 17 was a rough start but having had 17.0.3 for a couple of days, seems to have completely awoken the 15 Pro Max’s super power, aka battery life. Not to mention this thing stays ice cold (though mine never got as hot as others were claiming) and zero drop of in performance. I am torn between 15 ProMax and 15 Pro as well. I tried them out at a local store, and the 15 PM has the (almost) perfect size now being a bit smaller and lighter than 14 PM. Bigger battery & bigger screen are definitely the biggest pros. I would have still preffered the regular 3x optic zoom to be honest as i am afraid i would move backwards I had the 13 Pro and loved it but upgraded to the 14 Pro Max for better battery life after iOS 16 ruined it. I don’t know that I will go down to regular Pro size anytime soon because the 14 Pro Max battery life still isn’t long enough for me, and I do enjoy the bigger screen. I will be upgrading to the 15 Pro Max though.
I just got an iPhone 14 Pro Max and I have seen a huge battery drain when using the camera. No matter if I just take a photo, or record a video, it will literally consume 1% of the battery for every minute I spend in the camera app. Therefore, the battery life of the iPhone 14 PM would be just 100 minutes if used intensively for taking pictures

Only differences afaik are the sizes, battery, and the max probably won't overheat as quick as the Pro. 4.

Get 13 pro. Much better camera system, newer cpu, very good battery life. Solid built in quality. 12 pro is not worth above $500. For the same price, 13 Pro is the easy choice here, even if it’s only for the battery life. All the extra stuff - screen, camera upgrades, are the icing on top.
I got the 13PM because of the larger screen and battery. However, if it was between the 13P vs 13, i'd definitely go pro because 120hz is a game changer (can't believe it took this long for apple to add it on iphone). I think 60hz iphones will age a lot quicker compared to 120hz models imo.
