It will then go through an automatic process of opining and closing the roof. Don't touch it or any buttons while this is happening.
Try, I don't know if this will work (it does for Astra mk4) put the key into the ignition and turn untill everything lights up, but don't start the engine, then press lock, unlock and open boot. I know it was commonly used to 're-sync' the astra keys. worth a shot before an expensive trip to fiat
